How do I enter?

Please read our Entry guidelines , then click ‘Enter now’ at the top of the page and select your category. All entries must be in English.

When can I enter?

The entry window opens on Thursday 7 August 2025 and closes at 11:00 (UK time) on Thursday 9 October 2025 . Please note that there will be no extensions, so please allow yourself enough time to submit everything – including payment – by the deadline.

How much does it cost to enter THE Awards Asia?

We are charging £100 per entry for the first five entries from a single institution, at which point a cap will be applied, so whether your institution submits five or 25 entries, the total charge will not exceed £500.

The reasons for bringing in this charge and advice on how to ensure your institution pays the lowest amount can be found here .

Please note that payment must be made by credit or debit card at the time of submission, as transactions need to be completed in order for the entries to be considered for shortlisting.

What period do these awards cover?

The THE Awards Asia 2026 focus primarily on activity during the twelve months leading up to your entry. Submissions can be based on work that commenced prior to this period, where significant activity during the past twelve months can be included.

Winning entries from THE Awards Asia 2025 will not be accepted again, but others may be updated and resubmitted if the entry is substantially rewritten and evidence of progress in the past twelve months is also included.

If you have any questions on your entry's eligibility, please email THEawardsasia@timeshighereducation.com to discuss your options.

Can we enter more than one category?

Yes, you may enter as many categories as you wish, but you must complete a different submission for each category.

Can we enter the same submission in more than one category?

No, please choose the most appropriate category for each entry. If you are unsure which category to choose, please contact THEawardsasia@timeshighereducation.com to discuss your options.

Can an institution enter more than one project or team in a single category?

Yes, an institution may submit up to five entries per category, but those featured projects or initiatives must be completely unrelated. (In particular, Most Innovative Teacher of the Year and our two research project categories often receive multiple entries from institutions).

How will I know that my entry has been safely received?

Once you have submitted your entry or entries, you will receive an email confirming that the transaction has been completed. Attached to this email will be a document containing a copy of each individual entry. A second attachment will summarise the entries within that transaction, including a unique Nomination code for each one – we will quote this code in all awards correspondence relating to the relevant entry, so please keep these safe and accessible. This attachment will also confirm the amount paid for the full transaction.
If you do not receive your confirmation within a few hours, it is possible that the submission has not been received, so please email THEawardsasia@timeshighereducation.com .

Are collaborative entries accepted?

Yes.

Institutions working together

If your entry relates to an initiative or project carried out in collaboration with another institution or institutions, the submission should come from the lead institution. In such cases, please enter “University A, in collaboration with University B ” in the ‘Institution name’ field on the entry form. Please ensure that only one university makes the submission on behalf of a collaboration.

Institutions working with public or private partners

You may enter a project that has been undertaken in collaboration with an external public or private partner. In such cases, please include “ in collaboration with ” in the ‘Institution name’ field on the entry form. While we are happy to acknowledge the contribution of the partner, these are higher education awards, so in the event of a win, the the award will be given to the winning higher education institution.

When will I find out if we have been shortlisted?

We will notify shortlisted institutions by email on Tuesday 20 January 2026 , the same day that the shortlist is officially published on this website and the THE news website .

If we are not shortlisted, or do not win, can we get feedback on our entry?

Unfortunately, due to the high volume of entries, we are not able to give feedback on individual entries.

It is worth emphasising that, because of the high number of entries, many excellent ones do not make our shortlists in any given year, which is why– if the featured work continued into the following year's period of focus – we encourage those entrants to submit an updated version then, when they can also include additional proof of impact that has since come to light.

When are the winners announced?

The THE Awards Asia ceremony will be held in Hong Kong on Wednesday 22 April 2026, the first night of the THE Asia Universities Summit .
We will provide more details about the ceremony venue, your participation, tickets and accommodation offers when the shortlist is published.
